Matching another DIYed maxi skirt with a vintage blazer I got from Rebecca some time ago for a more tailored look compared to the slouchy one previously, and yes, turbans - My first ever attempt.
I will be heading to the West Coast in a day's time. Hope I could somehow squeeze a lil shopping time in between those piles of work. See, even when I'm working, shopping is all I think about which is kind of sick.

DIY / SHEER MAXI SKIRT

Being profoundly inspired by Abbey Lee's sheer maxi skirt a couple of months ago, I jumped right to the idea of making one instead of cashing in for ready mades. Besides, it seemed pretty accomplishable and most importantly, I don't need to spend much. Thanking God for the pattern making and sewing skills learnt back in college, I DIY-ed two of these skirts, each with different level of flareness. The one I'm wearing here is of a lesser flare. What do you think?

Pairing it here with a fringed faux leather shoulder bag, strap tucked in, which I got almost 2 years ago and a favourite block striped slouchy jumper for a monotone look.

Although the top has more shot worthy details, the pants was what I wanted to highlight in this post. Besides, the top had its turn in SANDY some time ago. The pants was actually restructured into a tapered cut, which previously was just plain straight, almost flared, using my favourite tapered pants as mold. I was beyond glad that it turned out the way I envisioned it to be because the lone Mango outlet here had recently been shuttered, so a remake would be impossible. I was crushed when I learnt of that devastating news. It was almost equivalent to the death of the late Alexander McQueen. This place is now officially a clothes tundra --

By the way, can you spot my orange nails?

The boyfriend jeans was originally the one I'm wearing here, and I had it bleached months ago, thanks to a tip from my mom (after soaking it in a
bleach + water solution for 2 days 2 night) - pour undiluted bleach directly onto it. I like how it turned out. On the other hand, my obsession for
blazers are getting out of hands. I've lost count of the ones I have. Most of them are vintage/thrifted but still, they are gem in my eyes.

Btw, don't we all just love big white houses, especially when they are decorated semi-empty? (In my case, decor-less)

No, this is not the DIY previously mentioned. It is a random DIY, made out of excess fabric and nothing too special about it but I loved how it
brightens up my monotone outfit here. And how that tan wedge sort of pulled me away from my usual plain blacks and whites.

And I am to tell you where I think I'd be in 10 years time. Tough one. I am tempted to say, 'Well, only God knows','Nowhere, just here, same old
same old'. Such a negative me, I know. Injecting positive vibe and faith, I'd be in some place I love, which is good for me, where the grass is greener,
where people around me are happy, supportive and most importantly, inspiring. I can't really name this place as I wish to be any place with these
elements all put together. It could just be where I am now - home (:
