Floral Fuss

I enjoy looking at pictures of people making something, especially clothes. Like a DIY. I find them interesting and somewhat, soothing. A few days ago, I altered one of my dresses which seriously needs some alteration on the sleeves or you may find it
here. I think the length of it is really weird. It just stops there with not much of a surprise like a puff or something. It looked like an, Italian football jersey. Yes, that's the word. Now that it is shorter, like a capped sleeve, it's so much better but I haven't planned on wearing them just yet.
Anyway, these minor alterations are nothing compared to those who make things, like Childhood Flames' most talked about poofy skirt tutorial last year (I think). I was amazed and still am. I'm just too lazy making something from scratch. I'd rather just buy them LOL.

A lil backdated on that but these are too awesome to be left un-blogged. Edgy, bold and strong.

My dearest sis, Rebecca of Style-Antagonist bought me this beautifully carved brass bangle from Diva weeks ago. Only managed to debut it a few days back due to the workload I have. Not only that, she also presented me with a tent shaped tanks from Topshop. My other sis bought me brown flats from Cotton On and it was't even my birthday. They were gifts from their trip to KL. I am so blessed to have sisters as thoughtful as them :)
I don't expect anyone to forgive those unmanicured nails by the way. I couldn't forgive them either.

Scattered Pictures of The Smiles We Left Behind

The previous Sunday, my sisters and I decided to have lunch together - Something we almost never do, as sisters. We hung out with our friends, bfs at cafés but between us sisters, we had a mutual agreement not to spend on food when we're out together. So, we shop, grab what we want and head straight back home. Pretty boring.
We went to Black Canyon Coffee and the food was great. Tasteful. I ordered Stir Fried Spaghetti with Minced Chicken and Hot Basil. Didnt taste basil at all. It was more of a mushroom flavour and dang it was spicy! I literally had mucus running down my nose and yet, that platter seemed so freakin 'harmless'.
My elder sister of Style-Antagonist had some Udon Tomyam Noodles which was equally delish. We had an awesome time that day and I cherish moments like this.
Today, mom and I recalled something of quite a few years ago where my lil bro claimed that he saw Jesus! The whole family was stunned and started questioning him questions like what was Jesus doing and how did He looked like. Unable to feed us all with a sharper image of what he actually saw as he was still a young boy, one of us asked him this very simple question - What was the colour of the Jesus you saw? And he said, "Black." We had goosebumps right away.

And memories a lane,
I'd walk right up to Heaven
And bring you home again.

You're A Holiday

Do you honestly write how and what you really feel in your blog? Or do you find yourself trying to conceal the other side of you? The more I analyze it, the more I feel I am more of the latter. When I'm here, blogging, I am always writing the happier side of me, leaving out the non-sense, depressed side. After all, this is only a space featuring all things fashion, art and music as quoted in my profile. Sigh. What about you?

Blah-- Despite being chronically broke, I managed to squeeze in these must-haves items. It seems like I'm always saying I'm broke, aite? I think the whole world knows I'm broke by now. Maybe I should be positive and confidently say, yes I am mighty rich? LOL. I wish I can really say that. Well, one day. Some day.
Oh, I almost forgot here. That's a cute pinkish-nude clutch's from MNG and.... adrmartensinspiredboots. Yeah, you heard me :)

It's hard to see the sun shines brightly lately. Monsoon. The past weeks had been nothing but umbrellas and wet shoes. So, last Sunday was the only day of the week which was sun-shiny and I quickly grabbed the oppurtunity to go out and have my outfit pictures taken outdoors. I was sans make-up and dare not look much at the camera. Sorry! (Even got my head cropped off)

A few scars on my wrist onwards, as you can see. Sand-flies. They never seem to stop biting me. Got a new bite mark on my foot, of all the places.

Other than that, I love this dress. Love the colour, and the flowers. Time to put some hues to my outfit. Fellow Malaysians should probably know where it's from. Also, am waiting anxiously for my hair to grow long back again. I was flipping thru my old pictures and God, I miss old long boring hair :(

Note: This is actually a delayed post. Should've posted it out last month but couldn't find myself some time. And oh, Happy New Year.

Okay. I have to admit that this, is so not me. I would never wear something like this out. Not even out of my room. No offense, I like the tanks but I know this is not my kind of style. But, I guess, it wont hurt to at least try it on, right? Anyway, this was the F21 tanks I purchased during my trip. It was slashed 70% and felt I would be a dumbo if I were to go back home without it. Shoes are just inspired versions, not even F21. LOL. But they are uber-comfy.
And, oh, I've been tagged by Fashion Slam and I don't really know why but do check her out as she has some really nice pictures featured in her blog, which I find inspiring :) Quickie link here.

Temptations, At Large

I wanted to do a post on my two days trip to visit my besties from college but am not too sure if they'll approve of having their Jpegs posted here. And I'm definitely not thinking of pixelating their faces - It's, rude. Anywayss, they took me to a whole lot of shopping malls and eateries. One of those being a place where we had our lunch, called Thai Thai Restaurant and I must say, I was impressed by the interior décor. It was very classy for a place which serves authentic Thai foodies. There were chandliers and shelves, and even willow branches, somewhat like a Western Cuisine restaurant. The food was top notch, especially the one I had which was introduced by Sara (top pic), my bestie who knows I'm a sucker for Tomyam/Laksa. Perfect. Jasmine, another good friend of mine, had Green Curry with rice.

Both my besties had been far too kind to me that I felt the need to blog it down here. On the second day of our trip, I was feeling nausea and dizzy all of a sudden and gosh, they bought me a Starbucks tea and walked around the mall just to get me a Panadol Actifast and some sour flavoured Mentos candies. Now, where in the world could you find friends like that? I was touched and guilty at the same time. I was basically, spoilled. Love you girls!

These are some of the few things I bought. Except for the turquoise wristlet which wasn't purchased during my trip. I also managed to grab a tee and slinky tanks from F21, a pair Cotton On flats for myself, managed to squeeze in another 3 pairs for my sisters and mom as well, and two bags from local mall Sg Wang. Not much cos I've spent way too much before my trip. Somebody please help me put a full stop on shopping. It's becoming an obsession!
