NEW: KORI

One of my not-too-recent purchases. Also, a preview of what I was wearing, a week ago.
A full outfit post coming out soon, so stay tuned.

THAKOON

Knotted Ankle Boots, via Barney's

This would come somewhere after Dinsko and Alexander Wang's Kori Off The Chain in my list of must-have ankle boots. It's in its most gorgeous form when you're wearing it and looking down, looking at it.

A simple wear & go outfit on a lazy holiday. It's hard to believe the holidays had finally reached its end. I had the most awesome week with my family with my Mom preparing her best dishes (that's how moms tell their children they love them). We feasted, BIG TIME, and I'm pretty sure we gained a few cms around the waist line but heck. That's how I tell my Mom how much I love her and the food :)

And my Dad? By 'scarring' his darling car wheels while doing the side parking. Oops --

NEW: HEX-NUT BRAIDED BRACELET

Gifted by Rebecca

I've always wanted a friendship bracelet, one might call it, or perhaps a braided bracelet, hardware finished, precisely nuts - Because I like it a little 'complicated'. And I got one. The best part is, it's a gift from my thoughtful sister (thank you).
It will definitely be on my wrist from now on! ♥

Now, some of you might have known that my sisters and I share a really close bond. And the second I heard they were planning a trip down to my place, I was beyond thrilled! So, last weekend I had a lovely, fruitful time with Rebecca (Ivy spent hers with the bf) doing a quick round of shopping which was a last minute deviation from our actual plan, surrendering ourselves from the idea of resisting the who-could-resist Zara sale. We had our lunch at a nearby Kenny's Roasters as an alternative after discovering that Las Carretas was closed. As sick as this may sound, we napped after that heavy lunch and when it was time for my sisters to leave, I bidded them with goodbyes and left feeling their presence still lingering.

ps: Thank you for the warm & supportive comments received in my previous post! I'm so blessed to have such lovely readers like all of you here ♥

I HAVE BEEN AWAY

zara-sweater

It has been around 4 months since my last post and during these months of absence, my career side of life experienced a major turn over which was something I had been yearning for the past 3 years. It all came way too sudden, way unprepared. But when all was settled, I started to feel, it couldn't be any less perfect.
Hence, I am happy to humbly announce that I'm now a part of one of my country's most reputable apparel company doing nothing too glamorous, but just to be a part of it, brings me a step closer to what I've always dreamt of.

I have always known pursuing my dream job, would cost me my family, as in I will need to leave home and won't be able to see them on a daily basis. I was homesick for a full month, almost quit my job and had swollen eyes in the mornings, every now and then. Life away from the family was definitely hard for me, both on the emotional & financial side. However, the thought of not being able to decently and hopefully, lavishly provide for my parents during their future old age got me to being strong and determine to make this work.

And for this, I'm thankful to God for opening paths, for His guide and grace. It wouldn't have happened if it wasn't for Him :) and to my family for their support, care and love through out, especially my Mom, who never failed to keep me updated with the latest going-ons whenever I'm back home with them, and the special meals prepared to celebrate my coming home, my Dad whom I counted on when it comes to all things technical, my beloved sisters who kept me inspired and my youngest siblings who never failed to make smile and angry (sometimes) but humoured most of the time.
To my readers, I can't promise outfit posts as making one seems impossible at the moment, but I will try my best for all of you here. Thank you all for reading and following my blog <3

Here's to a brand new year!
