I hope these hem folding trend lasts a lil longer cos I find it exceptionally convenient with a tinge of style especially when I'm at work. (ooo, i-Spot an Acne lace up booties there) Anyway, back to the topic. I apologize for the slight distraction there. Plus, it will allow some time for the people in my town to absorb this style because currently there hasn't been a single person seen, sporting this trend, except for mutemode, style-antagonist and myself . And I dare to bet on that! Not that we are blowing our own trumpet, what's there to blow about? It's just that, that's the way things are at my place. Fashion just seems so, stagnant here and that's a sad thing to say. I hope they get infected with more fashion bugs. Fast :)

I thought I'd take a break of fashion for awhile and talk about something else. Something new. This post is especially dedicated to my beloved mom, for all the wonderful flowers and plants around the house (Thanks Mom!). This is one of the reason why I would prefer to be at home on Sundays and so I thought I could share it with my readers the beauty of greeneries, which I feel is one of God's finest creations besides humans and animals. Anyway, it would be nice to have a better camera to capture the wonders of nature in true colour and sharpness.

Have a nice week ahead everyone, xx.

Call Me Denim

Sorry that I'm sooo into things denim lately. Where do I begin? Thrifted denims. I've never bought anything really thrifted as this denim shirt I'm wearing and the other on the previous post below. I purchased them both from a bundle shop and each only costs approximately USD3 and I was like 'WHAT??' That particular denims which I donned on above even had some stains, presumably curry stains but I had it personally washed with my bare hands. But, despite the thrifty-ness of it, I still love it as much as the first time I laid my eyes on it. Even more after all the brushing and scrubbing. Don't you just love buying cheap and worth-buying things? At least I do. I often felt happier and preferring to ramble about stuffs I bought at a bargained price rather than those which are quite pricey. It's somewhat like an achievement for me. Of course, I don't but buy them because they're cheap. They have to be of a certain quality which I find worth-grabbing :)

On a random note, this evening, my beloved
sis attended a wedding dinner with her (clears throat), other half and she looked really amazing, I must say :) I hope she'll do a post on her attire for that occassion soon! Anyway, tomorrow's a Sunday and I'll be meeting an old friend of mine and there will be some catching ups over cups of Starbucks. I haven't been sipping on Starbucks for sometime due to the fact that I have been spending all them money over things material lately. Btw, my favourite's gotta be Chocolate Cream Frapuccino, minus the chips. What's yours? :)

Have a fruitful weekend everyone!

It's finally here. This is the closest I can get to the real deal as I can only afford to cash on this inspired version. Thank God for the existence of GoJane :)

The Late Confession

purchases-1
pu
(F21: White Tank Top, Tiered Chains, Edge-defining Sunnies. Grey skinnies & clutch from a random store)

As promised, I've finally found some extra time to make a so called, collage, of items I managed to grab during my trip to the city 2 weeks ago. As you can see, these items can be easily found almost anywhere and nothing too special about it. I wasn't too happy about my purchases if you notice from the words I am using. Well, true but at least I grabbed something rather than coming back empty-handed. At least, that was how I tried to convince myself because I realised I was doing it all wrong when I came across a blog yesterday, brigadeiro which offered lots of useful shopping tips and that it's really okay to go home without purchasing anything. Sigh. No point crying over spilt milk, right? But, there are some which I didnt regret purchasing. It's still ok, I guess.

Clutch:
Bought it for the lamest reason ever- 'I need a clutch'. Twas the first thing I saw and twas cheap. Why not, I thought. Or so I thought.

Grey Skinnies with Side Zipper:
Topping up another worn out pair which magically turn into an acid-washed skinnies after days spent in the outdoors.

White Tank Top:
Trying that whole A.Wang thing. Due to lack of time, I tried it with my clothes on and I think you guys know the rest of the story. What a silly thing to do.

Layered chains:
Mutemode grabbed it too. Affordable and exactly what I needed :)

Sunnies:
Been craving for one since style-antagonist owned one but it was never on my wishlist-kinda forgot about it.

(NOSE Wedge, MNG MANGO Floral Dress)

I've never felt so dissatisfied about my purchases until that day. So, as a revenge, we binge-shopped at the local malls and ended up purchasing these two items. The floral dress is my favourite and it was on sale. Ah, nothing feels as good as buying worth-buying sale items and coming back to my home sweet home. The dissatisfaction ended since then.

(Someone please do me a HUGE favor and give me a big slap as a reminder of the current economic crisis. I should really stop shopping!)

Flappers and what's 30s had never looked so good till there was Karl Lagerfeld with Coco Chanel's eye on fashion, which is the exact reason why Karl has always been one of my favourites since young. Chanel's iconic traits have been well preserved through Karl's reign as the creative director, I must say. On another note, I've omitted the red part of the collection as I only had my eyes on these which I've picked and compiled. Click here for more.

I would like to thank those who gave my blog a visit(s) and for all the comments I have received. They really made my day and got me going more than I ever could! Mostly, I thank God for these for none of it could have happened without Him. Also to my lovely sisters who are also my faithful readers, style-antagonist and mutemode, for their continuous support. Do check out their blog! Oh, and not forgetting, a huge gratitude to those who followed my blog. (I know it sounds like those Oscar speecehes, but I really gotta thank all these wonderful people)

And, I also know that I'm still owing you guys a post on my purchases last weekend, I promise it's coming - pictures snapping, check. editing, nopes. Been kind of occupied lately with my job and side jobs. So, I'll sign off this week with this post and hope you guys like it! :)

The sun was shining beautifully on that day and it kind of caused my pictures to look slightly sephia-ish like how I love pictures to be. I've recently (well, two weeks ago, to be precise) purchased these two items, the sheer dress with circle prints and also the ankle booties in nude. In fact, I actually bought a lot of stuff lately which is not doing good for my wallet and not to mention, my soon-to-be bursting wardrobe. I'm sooo gonna have to get a new wardrobe.

Btw, my family trip to the city was, kind of fun. I didn't manage to get all the things in my wishlist and I didn't manage to snap pictures of my outfit on that day. Pfff. What a day, that's all I can say. But, what I did manage was wearing that ensemble I planned and on a plus point, I get to see, touch and feel my dream Aldo wedge in real and omgosh, I was on cloud nine that time. In fact, I was on cloud nine throughout the whole shopping spree. Oh, I will find a time to post a picture of my purchases some time :)

Have a great a week ahead!

In The Mood For Some Blings

Check out those barbaric rings and banglets (bangles + bracelets). Also some accessories which caught my attention at Urban Outfitters. A chain wrap watch, how cool is that? Looking at my accessories collection, I lacked a lot. My lovely sister, Ivy says that it takes time to achieve that. I would also add, some cash. I guess, we always want what we haven't got, right? Anyway, I've kind of prepared my 'what-to-wears' for my family trip to the city this weekend and it looks something like this:

(SEED basic white tee, DIYed black puff skirt, leopard prints scarf, Nose ankle booties in nude, sunglasses, some rings & faux leather cuff)

Voila..
Just a rough ensemble as I'm still thinking of something fancier.

Vika Voguette

Vika Gazinskaya - A style of her own, she successfully caught my attention with the extended shoulder trenchcoats which are similar to those of the 80's-90's plus the boyish haircut in the first picture which I think, almost resembles Marie Fredriksson of the Swedish pop duo, Roxette. She is the epitome of those busy New Yorkers (she's a Russian btw), walking along the streets, rushing to work. And all you can hear is the clacking of their shoes against the brick floor and some murmuring. Give her a briefcase, a newspaper, a cup of hot coffee, and off she goes.

V has gotta be for Vika. Loves!

p/s: Referring to the previous entry, I would really love to but I am not going to Paris or anywhere near Paris. Perhaps, some time in the future :) It was just out of randomness as I will only be going somewhere out of town this weekend. Have a nice day everyone!
